Project Pictures

Here are some photos that I've found on my computer of things that I've done.   Only a couple of them have before and after, or all throughout pictures.

Wagons   These are two wagons that I picked up for cheap at a gargae sale.   I reconditioned them for my grandkids.

Swing Set This set belonged to my niece who just turned 18 (yikes!).  It's 15 years old.  I reconditioned this for my grandkids, too.   All of the before photos were taken for reference during reassembly.

Furnace Fan
Just when it was getting hot enough to start up the central air, the fan motor crapped out.   Got on this quickly!

Dryer Preventive Maintenance  This will continue to grow with photos as I do more.  Please also see my Preventive Maintenance page.

Xmas deco  Some outside Holiday decorations not typically found in shops.   The star is illuminated with roof top pin spots.

Q-switch Just another unit I prototyped from scratch - even cut,  painted, and labeled the front panel.

Shelf  I designed and built this shelf as an add-on for my stepdaughter's college dormroom desk.   The backboards are solid pine lattice that I glued edge to edge.   No plywood here.

Curio  My wife wanted a curio cabinet.   We didn't like what we saw in the stores, and found this one used, but it was finished in gold paint, and the top and bottom molding was cast in plastic.  I
rebuilt the molding, and refinished it.   I also designed and made the dangle out of real aquamarine, sterling siver chain, and bali beads, together with macrae, and  light blue crystal ball..

Desk  My stepdaughter needed a computer desk for her new apartment.   This was made from scrap wood in my garage, to accept the shelf above.

China cabinet  My wife wanted a china cabinet to match the curio.   We purchased this as a unfinished piece.   It would have been easier if it could have been disassembled first.

Darkroom Timer  I designed and built this for my sister around '85.   After 10 years of use it has sat in a box in my crawl space for 15 years.   I figured that I'd open it up to see what kind of job I did, and take some photos for use on this page.   Not too shabby, but I can do much better.   The enclosure has seen better days.   Should have gone with aluminum.  I never expected the rust.   Maybe I'll refinish it , and redo the labeling.   It still works, but it looks like the BCD switches are shot.

Kia Fender  A couple of photos taken while fixing up the fender of my stepdaughter's KIA.

Emergency Lights My buddy, Lou, came up with the idea for these, and built a few.   I built hundreds of them and sold them on eBay.

Art Table  This was an old art table my dad gave me.   It was in throw away shape, but I reconditioned it for my stepson after it sat around in pieces in my crawlsapce for about 20 years.

More Dangle thingies  Way back in my long hair hippie days, I used to make jewelry for my girlfriends.   I revisteed it briefly after putting a beading kit together for my stepdaughter about 8 years ago.

The beading kit  Putting this together was a project in itself.   Each item was purchased seperately on eBay, and there was more to it than shown here..

Toddler Banister  This was a quicky project so that Tyler could climb the stairs without help (but still with someone close behind him, of course).

Memorial Plaque    This is a teak plaque I hand made in memory of someone extremely dear to me.

IR detectors  Another idea of Lou's.  I sold a bunch of these in various configurations on eBay, too.

Pumpkin lights  More stuff built and sold on eBay.   A variation of the Emergency lights.
